Ali’s love of all things clothes and fashion is what you might call a healthy obsession! For the last 10 years she has worked as a personal stylist and runs a dress-hire agency from home in Harpenden, Hertfordshire.
Why did Ali start Forever Cinderella?
Ali worked in the recruitment sector for 13 years, and, after a short break to have her two daughters, launched her dress-hire business alongside establishing herself as a personal stylist.
“I have had a long-standing interest in colour and fashion which has increased significantly over the years, and I was keen to pass on this passion to others. In helping ladies find the right outfit for a smart occasion, or shopping for them for an updated casual or workwear look, for me, it’s all about empowering them to look and feel their best, in every stage of their lives. Look good, feel good!
When I am not busy styling my clients, you will find me trying to squeeze in a workout at home, ferrying the teenagers around, or mooching in the local charity shops!”
What services does Ali offer?
Dress-hire and styling
Dress-hire was established 9 years ago from Ali’s home in Harpenden. She aims to help ladies size 6 to 16 with outfits to be hired for any smart occasion – black tie events, weddings, posh parties. In addition to her dress collection, she has lots of great accessories to complete the outfit – evening bags, heels, faux fur jackets, jewellery etc.
Hiring charges are as little as £5 for accessories, and from £40 for dress hire, including cleaning.
Personal Styling
This is a ‘Top to Toe’ service, including assisting with any skincare and make up needs. Many ladies choose to start with having their colours analysed – this is the foundation of good style! Finding your best colours is transformative and makes clothes shopping so much easier and quicker.
Editing the wardrobe
Ali can help streamline clothes, let go of those pieces that no longer work and help clients explore which new pieces will bring joy and work on a daily basis. Ali will advise on colours and shapes to suit best, plus advising pieces are missing and why!
Personal Shopping
There are two options – to shop together in person or to do it online. Either way it’s lots of fun! If you choose to do this in person, you will both decide on a shopping venue and Ali will put aside items to try. You end up with a lovely selection of new pieces that mix and match and importantly fill the holes in your wardrobe.
If you opt for an online service, Ali will send you links to items you can purchase. Ali will return to your home for a try on session and to mix the new with the old, taking photos on your phone for future reference.
Skincare and Make up
As an Ambassador for Tropic Skincare, Ali is able to advise and supply gorgeous natural, vegan and organic skincare and make up suited to your skin type. Ali offers free 1-2-1 make up consultations with a make over using the Tropic make up range.
