There is lots going on in the village throughout the year, and here are just some of the events expected to take place:

Marford Memorial Hall Open Day and Community Showcase: 22 February 11am–5pm

An opportunity for local residents to come and look around the newly refurbished Memorial Hall. We have invited all our local community and volunteer groups to have information stands showcasing the work they do. There will be refreshments available in the Lamer Room. All are welcome.

The Coronation: 6 May, timings TBC

A screening of the Coronation ceremony and parade with afternoon tea served in the Lamer Room. All welcome.

Sustfest 2023: 11 June 11am–4pm

The aim of the festival is to inspire residents across the district to live more sustainably, do practical things to care for the environment and reduce their carbon footprint. WPC will be holding a Reuse, Repair, Recycle Day which will include the following:

  • Clothes Swap: Members of the public can bring in to swap up to 4 items of good quality clothing or shoes.
  • Fix/Alteration Station – Minor repairs and/or advice for household goods, games, toys, clothes, jewellery
  • Refill Stations
  • Seed/plant swap
  • Café

Village Weekend: Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 July

This year’s theme is ‘A Day at the Beach’. We will be offering local businesses the opportunity to have a stall at Village Day on 9 July. Contact Wheathampstead Parish Council to find out how you can get involved!

Lights Up: 23rd November 5.30pm – 8pm

Fairground rides, Christmas gifts, Santa, carol singing and more! All High Street businesses to remain open for the event.

We have no doubt there will be many more village events, so watch this space!
